What is it?

High rates of school drop-outs represent a
 problem . Germany is Europe, according to figures from 2009, 11% in the midfield, 11% of 18 - to 24 year old have no qualified education or vocational degree!

What to do?

By participating European partner schools existing strategies and concepts should already be changed. Together new concepts can be developed to reduce dropout.

In the project "ACT VET: Acting against dropouts in Vocational Education" Working vocational schools from all over Europe to take this problem on the base to attack: The Improvement of quality and environment training in the various institutions and the implementation of support strategies for students who are at risk of leaving school, contribute to the institutions involved to reduce the dropout rate in Europe.


The aim of the Prokektes is to develop new methods to increase learning motivation and to create a supportive school environment. The project activities aim to promote the motivation and readiness for lifelong learning among young Europeans. Through the exchange of experiences from all over Europe new strategies to increase the motivation of students tailored to the needs of each school - developed.

The project is funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Commission and has a 24-month
duration of the project is between August 2012 and July 2014.
